This will evolve over time but I wanted to get some thoughts out on "paper" so people weren't surprised at decisions.
1. ) Lets stay away from name calling, spreading rumors and mean-hearted statements. If you don't agree with something, and can't find the words to calmly word a response, take a break and come back to it or keep scrolling.
2. ) Ravelry - Pretty much everyone here came for a place that was peaceful and welcoming. Rav has made their choices, I respect their right to make them, but I won't run things that way. That means lets not blacklist vendors, harass anyone who chooses to stay on Rav. If people want to make their own choices about a vendors statement I respect that, but I'd rather not just be the "anti-ravelry". Helping people with Rav tech support questions is fine as long as they don't turn into complaint sessions all over.
3. ) Have fun, have discussions, learn things about people, be open to other points of view, listen to each other. I welcome the exchange of ideas, people can disagree without turning to name calling and crass language.
4. ) Political project threads are fine, but lets avoid big political discussions for the sake of political discussions. If someone makes a Trump hat or a Bernie scarf and posts their project and you don't like it, scroll by. I say this because the entire country is hung up on debating, arguing, mud slinging around politics, this tiny corner of the internet doesn't need to be. I love talking politics in the real world at the right place and time I don't think this is the place
5. ) I will do my best not to pick sides in an argument, my goal is respectful discussion. I also hate deleting content, I feel like it encourages revisionist history. I will however edit comments if people have crossed the "no name calling or harassing" line, I will leave a note at the bottom saying the reason I made an edit. I do my best to keep the original content meaning but make the language non-abusive and more discussion based if I make an edit.
Examples of things that cross the line:
Calling liberals names like "Looney lefties"
Calling conservatives names like "WS"
Avatars that are clearly meant to instigate or make the site look bad, like a swastika, iron cross or other widely understood symbols of hate aren't welcome here.
6. ) We strive to make this a "family friendly" environment. Please keep things at a "PG" level. Things such as links to casinos, pharmaceuticals, and other websites you wouldn't want your pre-teen visiting, please do not mention them here. In addition, while we all enjoy good laughs, please keep any meme's, funnies, and other pictures, links, etc at a family friendly level.

At the top right of the screen is a button that says "Login or Signup", if you click that you'll see a little dialog box drop down.
At the bottom of that dialog is a "Forgot Password" option, if you click that it will allow you to fill in the forgot password screen.
Enter the e-mail you registered with ourunraveled and answer the question (12 is the answer) (to keep out the robots).
