I have been making another quilt - one of these days the back of my wine quilt will speak to me and I’ll finish that up.

Today’s quilt is colorful. I chose some rich colors. There are 25 blocks in here, and I’m trying to get a good mix throughout.

these are the colors I started with:

The first four blocks are light and medium blocks - I am on the 4th block. Please ignore the “design features”. They add character. Lol

After my fiber dyeing adventure last week, I did some fiber prep for my spinning class. We are doing long draw with carded prep or rolags. I haven't really done anything like that other than the (not so much my style practice rolags I made last week. I ended up making a few more and plying it just for fun. It is my first Art Yarn I have decided, lol. I am going to use the yellow-orange buns for my homework spin.

Thank you everyone. I wish I could take credit for the colors (maybe two of each color?) - it is part of a box set - I think any colors would have gone together. Lol. I just had to pick 24, relatively balanced between light medium and dark.

It is definitely making me happy - all the colors.

I went grocery shopping after work tonight. The store is right next to a Hobby Lobby and a short distance from a Dollar Tree.

Char - The Sweet Rolls were at Dollar Tree on some not-$1 shelves. The rainbow hank is hand-dyed wool that Hobby Lobby recently started carrying.

hereami - The Just Cotton is from Dollar Tree. I have not tried it before. I am going to use it for charity washcloths.

I'm so jealous, our Dollar Tree does not carry yarn. The only local place I can get yarn is Walmart/

DJM - I have been in several, and this was the first one to have yarn. I compared the price on Just Yarn at Dollar Tree ($1) with Walmart's mainstays yarn ($2.46 on the app), and mainstays had the better price per ounce.

My WIPS are still my test knit sweater for Knit for the Soul and the big oversized sweater for my granddaughter. But I have to share a photo of the little dog sweater I finished a while back. I shared a pic of the sweater but I pro mised when hubby came home where I could, I would share a photo of Haymitch wearing it. (Please excuse the unmade bed.)

KnitsWithHorses You did a great job on that sweater.
Did you follow a pattern or just figure it out as you went? Which yarn did you go with? My guess is acrylic...so it can be washed and dried easily.

Haymitch is a great model. So poised... lol.

So glad your hubby is home safe. What a crazy month or so to be trying to drive a semi truck here in the U.S. I bet he saw lots of interesting things.

hereami I used Lion Brand Basic Stitch anti-pilling yarn. I really like it. That posed pic of Mitchie was only gotten after about 12 very blurry tries. Lol He is almost 8 years old but is still VERY energetic at times. He's used to having structured play time with long stretches of basically passing out with his tongue hanging out while they are going down the road. He's been a truck dog since he was still a puppy. We owned his mama and papa and I had to bottle raise him as he was rejected. I honestly didn't think he world make it but he has been an incredible blessing to my hubs and lives a pretty pampered life really. And he makes sure Rob gets out of that truck for walks regularly, several times a day.
Rob is enjoying his home time and so is Mitchie. They will be here at least through the weekend. He is a very easy going guy and not one to really tune in to the things going on in society. He judges what is in front of him as it occurs but he has commented a few times on how ugly things are getting out there. He has been driving for 30 years and has never seen anything like it. He mostly goes from Florida to The PNW through Cali and Texas the most. He says it sometimes feels like going from country to country these days instead of state to state. And odd as it may sound, that little dog helps keep him sane through it all.

ID:	91031 I've been very distracted this week. I got my new book cover *squee!* I hope it's okay to share it here. I'm in the process of uploading the book to Amazon. Since this is only my 2nd attempt to do it myself ... it's taking me a while. This story was originally published in an inspirational historical romance collection, but it's been discontinued and I got the rights back. I *love* this story because there is so much of me in it. The heroine, Yarrow Fenn, is a spinner and weaver and was so fun to write. So I have been creative ... just not with wool and yarn so much this week.

TeaNSugar - I decided to start using my accuquilt today to finish the quilt. It is saving me about 75% of the time.

My Friday FO is this Shawlette made with Knit Picks Chroma, the color is “Carnival”. I used a little more than one ball for extra length.
