Crochet problem

Ive just started a crochet project which has flower squares. I on the final round but there’s a part of the directions I can’t figure out. This is how it reads 1ch, *1dc in each of the four dc,1dc in tr, 1htr in next tr, (1tr,1ch,1tr) in 1chsp, 1htr in next tr, 1 din foil tr, 1dc in each of next 4dc, rep from * 3 more times, ss in first dc.
I understand how to do all the stitches but it does not indicate how many times I should repeat what is in the brackets? do brackets mean anything?
Thank you to anyone who can help

Hi! In reading the above, it looks to me as if the author is trying to set off those three stitches as being all done in that 1 chain space.

Sometimes I make myself a little chart to help me understand an unclear instruction.

If you have a link to the pattern (assuming it is free), I could take a look if you like. What I can’t tell is where the “din foil tr” goes, but maybe that is clear within the pattern…
