We have a prize drawing at the end of each month. The prize winner is selected by random number generator and each entry is a chance to win the prize. You are eligible for up to four entries. Please make a seperate post for each entry. You may post the following entries:
    1. Picture of the first finished sock (or two through the heels). Any socks started this month count.
    2. Picture of a completed pair. Any socks completed this month count. Socks started before the beginning of the month may be finished and entered as a completed pair.
    3. Picture of a finished pair that uses a pattern that goes with the monthly theme. Please include the name of your pattern and how it coordinates with the theme.
    4. Picture of a finished pair that uses the featured color.
Our theme this month is Flowers! Choose any pattern that is connected to Flowers.

Our color is: Any color that matches a flower in your garden or flowers in one of your pots. Your finished picture should be a picture of your socks near your flowers. If your flowers won't still be blooming when you finish your socks, show us a picture of your yarn next to your flowers.

Our prize this month is a colorful project bag.

And just tonight, finished socks in green. My inspiration is our back yard with grass and trees, we have no flowers ๐Ÿ˜

These are finished through the heels. Iโ€™m trying Legacy Lace for the first time for socks. Itโ€™s very light weight and Iโ€™m hoping the socks will fit well.

Kathie - When working off a paper chart, I find it very helpful to use a magnetic board and a long strip of magnet. I keep moving the strip as I finish a row.

I use very few paper charts. I found a free website that makes a pdf out of a web pattern, so I can still save to Dropbox and then KC. I will use one if itโ€™s a simple repeat with few rows. I also enjoy making my own designs with graph paper.

knitter131 , I am the same way--I only use the heel part. I have it on my Knit Companion in case I haven't done it in a while and forget what comes next. I love the 2 at at time toe up with the FLK heel.

I just finished the first of a pair of shortie socks for my sister-in-law. I'm sure its mate won't be far behind, because she has tiny feet, especially in comparison to my huge man-sized feet! I don't know what this yarn is, I think it's Paton's Kroy Socks, but it's been in my stash since before 2010 and managed to lose its band years ago. It is SO cute, I just love it, and I'm already planning how to make myself a pair of shorties with what is left over. Since this sock only used 20 grams of the 100-gram ball, there should be plenty to do something with.

I am so in love with how cute this is with the stripes and the mock fair isle. I had no idea from just the ball that it would work up this cute. ๐Ÿ˜
My sister-in-law wears a 6.5 narrow and they're shorties, so there will be plenty of this yarn left over. Good thing for me! ๐Ÿ˜„

If you do heels toes and cuffs in a contrasting or solid color(s), you will have enough of this yarn leftover for a pair for yourself!

Spice2s Yep, that's exactly what I was planning to do! I have some solid colors that will work and am planning to make shorties (perfect for summer anyway!) with the ribbing, heel, and toes in a solid color and the rest in the cute striping. I'm really excited to finish these so I can get started on mine!

I finished my second sock for my sister-in-law and I have to say, I am ASTONISHED at how alike these two self-striping socks came out! They are just plain adorable and I am so excited to make a similar pair for myself! The two socks only used about 39 grams together, so there is plenty of the 100-gram ball left over.

And another post for the theme. I made these socks for my sister-in-law who is a wonderful gardener. She calls her front yard her "meadow" and every spring it is absolutely beautiful with her amazing flowers. I was going through my stash and came across this self-striping yarn that reminded me of her beautiful meadow in bloom. Since we live in the desert and it is now over 100ยฐ almost every day, her meadow is no longer in bloom, but she gave me a couple of pictures of it to use for this month's theme.
